Freo supporters have reason to celebrate following the women’s team’s victory over the Adelaide Crows on Sunday.
The Dockers handed Adelaide its fourth defeat of the season in a fast-paced clash at Unley Oval in South Australia.
The final score: 9.6 (60) to 5.5 (35).
Fans took to social media to express their excitement after the decisive win, which offered some comfort following the men’s team’s heartbreaking Grand Final loss on Saturday.
“Something to smile about after yesterday’s heartbreak,” one fan said.
“Thanks girls for giving me something to smile about today, amazing effort,” another added.
“Ladies showing the men how it’s done,” a third cheekily commented.
