The country’s most unusual dog names have been unveiled with Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey making appearances on Bupa Pet Insurance’s list 🐶
The two music superstars joined Beyonce, Madonna, Britney Spears and Ariana Grande – alongside some peculiar names 🧐
The unusual names that appeared on the list include:

- Angus Beef
- Jon Snow
- Louis Vuitton
- Holden
- Mariah Carey
- Cheeseburger
- Harry Potter
- Swiftie
“Given the star power of Taylor Swift and Beyonce, it’s not surprising she’s now in our list. We often sing our pet’s praises so we may as well give them some star power,” Bupa General Insurance General Manager Lachlan Davidson said.
But Mr Davidson encouraged pet owners to name pets responsibly, which has been headed by majority of Aussies. The top 10 names are:

- Charlie
- Coco
- Daisy
- Teddy
- Frankie
- Ruby
- Bear
- Molly
“A pet is for life, so it can be safer to choose a name that’s not just the latest trend on TikTok and that’s why we continue to see fur favourites like Leo and Frankie remain in the top 10 year after year,” Mr Davidson added.
